China to slash tariffs on $75 billion in U.S. goods as virus threatens economy

The move was widely expected following the signing of a “phase one” agreement signed last month between the U.S. and China and comes as the coronavirus outbreak has also brought China’s powerful manufacturing industry to a standstill.
